Medical Spanish classes at CPI Monteverde (Week I) and Flamingo (Week II)
After taking both a brief placement test and an oral interview, students are placed in a class at their appropriate level. To provide an optimum learning environment, the maximum class size is capped at 4 students. This allows each student the opportunity to receive specialized attention from their professor.
Cultural Activities
After afternoon classes, there are optional cultural activities such as: Latin dance and cooking classes, movie night, as well as a Latin music night.
Excursions
During the week, optional afternoon excursions are organized so that you may explore the areas surrounding Monteverde and Flamingo. These excursions range in price from $20-$40 US . Activities include: a guided night hike of the Finca Ecológica, a hike of the Santa Elena or Monteverde Reserves, the Sky Trek (a series of canopy lines overlooking the rainforest), the Butterfly Farm or the Frog Pond in Monteverde. In Flamingo activities include a sailing cruise, horseback riding on the beach, a visit to the Monkey Park and visits to the local pristine beaches.
